German furniture market is growing
ZOW Bad Salzuflen 6 -9 February 2012
It’s where furniture is made – The slogan of ZOW 2012, supplier fair of the furniture industry and interior design, hits the bull’s eye. East Westphalia is the heart of the German furniture industry, which is growing. The industry’s turnover increased by 7.3 per cent in the first half-year of 2011 alone, and a growth rate of five per cent can beexpected for the whole year. Against this backdrop, the German market provides an excellent sales opportunity for international furniture suppliers in 2012. Between 6 and 9 February 2012, they will find the ideal platform for their showcases at ZOW in Bad Salzuflen. This is where orders will be placed and business for the coming furniture season will be made.
It is not without good reason that almost all companies of the surface and fittings sectorwill be present at ZOW 2012. Due to the high exhibitor demand, hall 23.2 will also be openfor the fair. In 2012, the big players of the industry can be found in Bad Salzuflen; however, many other innovative companies will showcase at the supplier fair East Westphalia-Lippe as well. ZOW is the display window for tomorrow’scolour and design trends for furniture innovations. This is theperfect venue for Italian suppliers, who will present their design-oriented product range of fittings, lighting systems and furniture accessories on the German market. But not only the place, but also the time is a perfect fit! February is the primary order season of the German furniture industry.
Creating impetus with future topics!
ZOW has always seen itself as a driving force of future-oriented topics in the furniture industry. Thus, Clarion Survey is going to organise a large-scale RFID showcase across the value chain in cooperation with the Loehne-based company Abaco Informationssysteme in 2012. Roughly 15 companies will participate in this unique project and introduce ZOW’s audience to this innovative technology. In this context, a brand new tagging procedure developed by Abaco‘s partner companies Fast Forward and IMA Klessmannwill be shown, which makes possible the integration of RFID tags into products, instead of gluing them. This allows a much more versatile use of the procedure than before.
9 February 2012 is timber coating day and everything will revolve around furniture surfaces. DFO, the German Research Association for Surface Treatment, extends an invitation to their annual meeting at ZOW Bad Salzuflen for the third. There, the recent developmentsof surface technologies will be discussed at a very high professional level. Platform “fabrics by ZOW” to be expanded
In 2012, trade fair organiser Clarion Survey will once again provide the suppliers of the European seating and upholstery industries with their own platform. In hall 22.1, at the trade fair centre Bad Salzuflen, the latest product innovations forcloths, leather, micro fibre materials and technical fabrics, as well as upholstery accessory parts will be introduced. The exhibition took place for the first time last year and was positively received by both exhibitors and visitors. After all, “Fabrics by ZOW”, is the only supplier platform in Central Europe of this kind. Exhibitors benefit from the various synergetic effects that develop out of a showcase of the textile segment at ZOW.
