Fresh Ideas at ZOW 2007 in Bad Salzuflen: The Curtain goes up on the "Lucky 13th"!

Far from being a bad omen, the news from organizer Survey Marketing + Consulting (Bielefeld, Germany) on the 13th "ZOW - East Westphalia Supplier Show" in Bad Salzuflen is simply "house sold out". From February 26 to March 1, 2007, the trade platform for the furniture and interior design industries will present its most diverse program of special events to date.

Show organizer, Bielefeld-based Survey Marketing + Consulting, is fully fired up and ready for the next stage of the ZOW experience. For this year's exhibitors and visitors, the trade forum will offer an exceptional array of features and extended service provision. A new and bigger central entrance with attached shuttle bus station and taxi stand will improve access and registration. The circuit through the exhibition halls has been enhanced by means of a new access point between Halls 20 and 23, and last but not least additional parking spaces are now available within walking distance of Hall 23 to ease access still further. From Monday, 26.02.07, to Wednesday, 28.02.07, a cordial invitation is extended to all exhibitors and visitors to unwind gently at the end of show days in Hall 21, Forum 9, at the daily "ZOW Happy Hour".  Â

Product Diversity and Technologies of the Future

Enticing exhibitor presentations and a wealth of exciting special features and events await visitors to ZOW. Many new exhibitors will bring their fresh ideas to the already sold-out 41,000 m2 exhibition space. Sheer innovation and versatility are equally represented in the many initiatives introduced by Survey itself, as event organizer, and jointly with its partners. The new dedicated Logistics area in Hall 22.2 and topical presentations from the industry reinforce ZOW's commitment to the domestic furniture industry by highlighting an area vital to securing and developing the industry's national and international competitiveness.

Set to generate huge interest are the surface technology and lightweight construction events: Robert Bürkle GmbH of Freudenstadt and Heinrich Wemhöner GmbH & Co.KG of Herford will provide a graphic presentation of the opportunities offered by modern direct print technology in Hall 22.1. And in Hall 23.2, the three member companies that make up the "lightweight.network" will display their newest developments for the industrial production of frameless lightweight panels.

The new "M Technology Award" - in cooperation with iF International Forum Design and "M" magazine - will honor innovative products and services from manufacturers of supplier products, designers, agencies, importers and specialist suppliers - whether exhibiting at ZOW or not. The award thus represents an important contribution - following on from "ZOW Innovations Scouting" - to improving market transparency at international level. The official M Technology Award 2007 ceremony takes place on Monday, February 26, in the Symposium Room (Hall 23.2). The winning entries will then go on display as a special exhibition in the walkway between Halls 21 and 22.

Architecture and Interior Design

The subject of interior design has always been integral to ZOW, with its tag-line of "supplier show for the furniture and interior design industries". Running across all show days, ZOW Architects' Days offer architects and interior designers the opportunity to interface directly, as well as a diverse and attractive program, specialist guided tours around the show and an opportunity for in-depth exchange of ideas. The central venue, the Architectural Lounge in Hall 23.2, will be the venue for presentations by the four partners: the BDIA (German Interior Architects' Union); the architecture journal, Detail; Hanover-based iF International Forum Design, and Material Connexion Cologne. In the neighboring Hall 22.2, the exclusive exhibition and international industry forum for solid surfaces and engineered stone, E3S, provides a comprehensive overview of the broad range of these materials and the latest technological developments.
Â
And in 2007 the show holds true to the ZOW concept of "People - Products - Contacts". In other words, ZOW continues to focus on the essentials and to provide a compact overview of today's innovations. So the "Lucky 13th" certainly won't be one to miss!
