The countdown has begun!
ZOW's launch in Shenzhen is just around the corner
All roads lead to Shenzhen. It’s here that the first ZOW supplier fair for the furniture industry is taking place between 19 and 22 March 2009, during the “busy” part of the exhibition season in southern China. ZOW is running at the same time as SIFE, which attracts around 60 000 visitors to the economic hub on the Pearl River delta, at the Shenzhen Convention & Expo Center. SIFE is THE high-end exhibition for the Chinese furniture market.
Around 50 supplier companies will be at the launch in March, showcasing their new products in surfaces and fittings, niche and lighting systems, panels and profiles, built-in and semi-finished parts, furniture fabrics and upholstery accessories. The majority of ZOW exhibitors come from China, but other suppliers also hail from Germany, France, Korea, Malaysia, Taiwan and Turkey. ZOW visitors can take in the whole host of suppliers at a glance. At the heart of the trade fair concept you will find a clear presentation of exhibits and communication between exhibitors and visitors, which is encouraged by open spaces.Money works harder in Shenzhen. The city, which was declared a special economic zone in the 1980s, has 12 million inhabitants and the highest income per capita in China. It is located in the south of the Guangdong province and is therefore only a few kilometres away from the international financial centre Hong Kong. Guangdong is the centre of the furniture industry in Southern China and, with its continuous economic growth, offers promising sales prospects for international furniture companies. The exhibition venue is easy to reach from both Shenzhen International Airport and Hong Kong International Airport. The ZOW organiser, Survey, has found an ideal partner in Shenzhen for its activities in southern China – the Shenzhen Trade Furniture Association (SZFA), the organiser of SIFE. SZFA is an influential furniture association throughout the whole of China, and with its excellent connections, it sees itself as a promoter of international contacts and investments. In Shenzhen the association maintains an individual design institute and other institutions in the furniture industry. It has transformed the SIFE into a high-end exhibition for Chinese furniture design.
