Product Award Event at ZOW 2008: M Technology Award enters its second Year

Last year, the “M Technology Award”, organized by iF (International Forum Design), was successfully premiered at ZOW – the Zuliefermesse Ost-Westfalen [East Westphalia Supplier Show] in Bad Salzuflen. Again in 2008, outstanding supplier products are to be honored on a broad international basis. Applicants are now invited to register.

ZOW is the central innovation exchange for the furniture and interior design industries. It’s where every year the industry catches up on new developments in furniture technology and design. Bielefeld-based organizer Survey Marketing + Consulting GmbH & Co. KG launched the “M Technology Award”, organized by iF, in the fall of 2006. Overall 60 entries comprising supplier products and designs from ten countries lined up in a top quality field, and the first ten prizewinners of the “M Technology Award 2007” were introduced to the trade public and press in February at ZOW in Bad Salzuflen. After a successful launch, Survey anticipates a significant increase in applicants for the second year of the competition.

Apply by January 15, 2008!

As an annual open competition, the “M Technology Award” is not only attractive to exhibitors from the entire array of Survey’s international ZOW events in Germany, Italy, Spain, Russia, China and Turkey, but non-ZOW exhibitors can also take part and present their latest developments to a panel of experts. Submissions are accepted for all ZOW product categories – Materials, Chemical Products, Surfaces, Interior Design Supply Products, Elements and Systems, Fittings and Semi-finished Products, as well as Industry-related Services and Concepts. Applicants are asked to register online at: www.ifdesign.de, by clicking on: Awards and Projects > M Technology Award. The deadline for applications is January 15, 2008.

The winners will be chosen by an expert panel on February 7, 2008, in a confidential selection process. All five judges are experts drawn from the architecture, interior design, materials and design sectors. Last year’s panel included Prof. Ruth Berktold (Yes Architecture in Munich), Nils Holger Moormann (Moormann Möbel GmbH in Aschau) and Henning Peitsmeier (Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung in Frankfurt). New members on this year’s panel are Birgit Brüggen (BDIA Bund Deutscher Innenarchitekten or German Interior Designers/Architects’ Association, based in Bonn) and Jens Kohlhase (Volkswagen AG in Wolfsburg).

First Presentation: February 25, 2008

The “M Technology Award” isn’t just about providing a broad international forum to ZOW exhibitors for their ideas for the future.
