Lightweight construction in furniture

Lightweight construction is high tech. And high tech has long been a feature of furniture construction. A ZOW event without lightweight construction is virtually unimaginable so the members of Interessengemeinschaft Leichtbau e.V. (igeL) will once again be exhibiting at Bad Salzuflen in 2012. The latest design solutions for the furniture and interiors industry will be on show between 6 and 9 February 2011 in hall 22.1.

Digital and direct printing, modular sanding systems, the seamless foiling of surfaces and glue-less plasma technology are only a few of the key terms in this context. Timber coating day on the last day of ZOW, 9 February 2012, will be dedicated to this interesting.

German furniture market is growing

It’s where furniture is made – The slogan of ZOW 2012, supplier fair of the furniture industry and interior design, hits the bull’s eye. East Westphalia is the heart of the German furniture industry, which is growing.The industry’s turnover increased by 7.3 per cent in the first half-year of 2011 alone, and a growth rate of five per cent can beexpected for the whole year.

Great RFID project in Bad Salzuflen

With a large scale project, trade fair organiser Clarion Survey and the Löhne-based company Abaco Informationssysteme, are going to set the stage for RFID for the furniture industry at ZOW 2012 in Bad Salzuflen. From 6-9 February, in a part of hall 23.2 everything will revolve around the future-oriented wireless technology that allows the identification of supplier products across the entire supply chain.

Seint srl is ZOW’s new sales agency

Starting 1 June, ZOW organiser Clarion Events Deutschland GmbH (Bielefeld) has a new sales representative in Italy: Under the leadership of Claudio Celata, the agency Seint Servizi Espositivi Internazionali srl (Assago/Milano), will from now on be responsible for the sales activities on the important Italian market for ZOW Germany and Turkey.

New ZOW advisory board

A new ZOW advisory board has just been appointed, with seven experienced industry insiders to take ZOW in Bad Salzuflen forwards. The new board members include Andreas Bielefeld (Nobila Werke), Eckhard Breitenkamp (Hettich Furntech), Holger Dzeia (Interprint), Wilfried Niemann (Karl. W. Niemann), Klaus-Dieter Midding (Siro-Camar Vertriebsgesellschaft), Massimo Salice (Arturo Salice) and Markus Sander (Westag & Getalit).

Clear, competent, consistent

Inspired by a design drawing from the furniture industry, the new corporate identity of ZOW 2012 was presented to the specialist audience at the supplier fair East Westphalia in February. The completely renewed appearance of ZOW reflects the self-image of the fair’s organiser Clarion Survey: Clear structures, technological competence and a straightforward design are the key elements of the new look.

Top executives attend

Positive feedback throughout the industry: Exhibitors and visitors rated the 17th ZOW, supplier fair East Westphalia, as a successful event with many great business contacts. Between 14 and 17 February 2011, the presence of 500 exhibitors from 30 countries worldwide brought roughly 15,000 visitors to East-Westphalia. They showed the entire range of innovative supplier fairs for the sophisticated furniture of tomorrow. Making up roughly 70%, the majority of visitors came from Germany. Poland, the Netherlands, Italy, Great Britain and France were at the helm of the international visitor ranking.
